Jan Wolf Tarrant, widow of Thomas A Tarrant, Jr., and longtime Guilford resident, died Nov. 6 at Yale-New Haven Hospital. She was born in Ridgewood, New Jersey, on April 6, 1932, the only child of George R. Wolf and Elizabeth Daly Wolf.

The family moved to the Pine Orchard section of Branford in 1940. Jan attended local schools and was a member of the class of ‘51 at the then Lasell Junior College.

She is survived by her son Thomas A. Tarrant III, her daughter-in-law Cornelia Burr-Tarrant, grandson Thomas A. Tarrant IV, and granddaughter Elizabeth Burr Tarrant, all of Marion, Massachusetts.

Jan was predeceased by her son John Daly Tarrant who died in 1999. She is survived by her granddaughter Bonnie Jean Tarrant and her partner Derrick Mandel Ford; great-grandsons Asaiah John Ford and Alias Mandel Ford; and great-granddaughter Arianna Jean Ford, all of East Haven.

Friends are invited to a memorial service on Saturday, Dec. 1, 11:00 a.m. at Guilford Funeral Home, 115 Church St., Guilford.
