Guilford

She was born on Sept. 22, 1938, to the late Archie and Anne Young in Guilford. She married Marvin Stickley on Oct. 7, 1956 and graduated Guilford High School Class of 1956. In addition to volunteering at the Guilford Fair, she loved sports, especially the UConn women’s basketball, and watching Wheel of Fortune and Jeopardy, along with her court shows (especially Judge Judy), pretty much anything on the Food Channel or HGTV, and Hallmark movies. She loved to travel and was a wiz at trivia.

She is survived by her daughters and sons Gail Gerlach of Dundalk, Maryland, Suzanne and Curtis Bryant of East Machias, Maine, and Amanda and John Billings of Jonesboro, Maine, and a grandson, Joel Gerlach of Baltimore, Maryland, along with extended family. She was predeceased by her parents, and her husband Marvin.

A celebration of her life will be held privately by her family. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to The Guilford Agricultural Society, P.O. Box 290 Guilford, CT 06437, or CT Hospice, 100 Double Beach Rd, Branford, CT 06437. Arrangements are in the care of the Guilford Funeral Home, 115 Church Street, Guilford.
