East Haven

Lorraine (Andrea) King, 87, of East Haven passed away peacefully on Oct. 15 at Talmadge Park. She was born May 21, 1931, in East Haven to Herman and Jennie (Hodge) Andrea. Lorraine is survived by her three loving children, William King III (Shaun) of East Haven, Carolyn Gallo (John Savo) of North Branford, and David King (Rene) of East Haven, along with seven grandchildren, William King IV, Heather McLaughlin (Andrew), David Gallo, Christopher Gallo, Brianna Kinney, Serena Kinney, and Jordan King. She is also survived by two great-grandchildren, Conor and Ella McLaughlin, and a sister, Carolyn Cantara of East Haven. Lorraine is preceded in death by her parents, husband William King Jr. (1999), five brothers, and one sister.

Lorraine was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother who loved her family, spending time at the East Haven Senior Center, and taking trips to the casino. She was a member of the Old Stone Church and served on the board at the East Haven Historical Society.

Family will receive friends from 4 to 7 p.m. on Thursday, Oct. 18, at the Clancy-Palumbo Funeral Home (Clancy Funeral Home) 43 Kirkham Avenue, East Haven. Family and friends are invited to meet and attend the funeral service on Friday, Oct. 19, at 11:30 a.m. in the Old Stone Church, 521 Main Street, East Haven, with burial to follow at East Lawn Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, please make donations to the East Haven Historical Society, 1 Maple Street, East Haven CT 06512 in memory of Lorraine King.
