Candace Miller Navario (née Aldridge Miller), age 69, passed away unexpectedly on Oct. 8 at Yale New Haven Hospital with her husband, Frank J. Navario, and close friends by her side.

Candace was born on March 27, 1949 in New Haven to Ralph and Billie Miller, and grew up in Branford. Candace married Frank in 1989 and became a devoted step-mother to Peter, Elizabeth and Sarah, and subsequently a doting grandmother to six grandchildren. Throughout her life, Candace pursued her love of photography, hiking, and gardening, and gave her time and energy generously to the Legend Hill community of Madison, which she loved. She will be remembered for her warmth, kindness and loving nature.

In addition to her husband, step-children and their spouses, and six grandchildren, she is survived by her sister Deborah Adams, nieces Kim Stevens and Tracey Gargiula, and dear friends Linda Brooks and Gail Pappas.

Candace’s family misses her dearly, and would like to express their deepest gratitude to all the friends and neighbors for the countless acts of kindness, love and support.
