Robert W. Menzies, 93, of Wallingford, formerly of North Haven, passed away peacefully on Sept. 11 at the Masonicare Health Center, Wallingford. Robert was born in Bridgeport on April 18, 1925, the son of the late Robert W. Menzies, Sr., and Esther Wilson Menzies.

He served his country faithfully in the US Army during WWII. Robert worked in retail display for numerous department stores; the last was Jordan Marsh.

He was the uncle of Laurel Groshong, Paul Schlichting, and Howard Zinn, Jr. He was predeceased by sisters Catherine Zinn and Marion Schlichting.

Friends were invited to go directly to the Church of the Resurrection, 115 Pond Hill Rd., Wallingford, on Sept. 17 to attend a Mass of Christian burial followed by a committal service in All Saints Cemetery with full military honors.
