Frederick W. Crampton, 76, long-time resident of Guilford, passed away peacefully Sept. 6. He was the husband of Deborah (Scirocco) Crampton. Fred was born May 29, 1942, in New Haven, son of the late Frederick Ernest and Ruth Knapp Crampton.

He was the father of Frederick E. Crampton, Lisa Crampton, and Christina Crampton; and the brother of Betty Brown. He is also survived by a grandchild, Reiley Battistelli.

Fred honorably served his country in the Army. He worked for more than 50 years at Stop and Shop.

Friends are invited to visitation on Friday, Sept. 28 from 6 to 7 p.m. at the Guilford Funeral Home, 115 Church St., Guilford, followed immediately by a celebration of life at 7 p.m. at the Guilford Funeral Home.
