Branford and Charlotte, North Carolina

Traci Hall Szydlik, 54, of Charlotte, North Carolina, formerly of Branford, loving wife of Ted Szydlik, died peacefully on Sept. 5 after a courageous fight with breast cancer, at home with her loving husband and brother by her side. Born in Hartford on July 29, 1964, she was the sister of Shaun Hall of Branford, and daughter of the late Linda DeRosa Hall and Britt J. Hall (Daisy) of Meriden.

Traci graduated from Branford High School in 1982 and attended Stone Business Academy. She had a banking career at Wells Fargo. Traci was an avid reader, loved her dogs, Rhett and Line, and cherished her times on Block Island with family and friends.

Traci is also survived by her uncle Joseph DeRosa (Donna) of North Haven and aunt Plus D. Hall of West Hartford. She leaves cousins Susan Lynch, Kelly Hall, and Kerry Hall of West Hartford; cousin Helen Weiss (Rich) of Monroe; cousin Billy DeCarlo (Mary Pat) of New Haven; many other “cousins by the dozens”; and many dear friends.

Visiting hours will be Sept. 13 from 4:00 to 8:00 p.m. at the W.S. Clancy Memorial Funeral Home, 244 N. Main St., Branford. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated Sept. 14 at 11:00 a.m. at St. Mary Church, Branford. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be sent to Susan G.
