Killingworth

Dorothy (Dudy) Meyer Blaha, 95, passed away on Aug. 19 in Killingworth. She was born in Madison on Feb. 25, 1923, to Augusta and Minnie (Zimmerman) Meyer. She was the wife of the late Joseph W. Blaha, Jr.

She leaves her daughter and son-in-law Susan and Don Fruhwald, and son and daughter-in-law Joseph (Ted) and Lauren Blaha, all of Killingworth. She was a loving and caring Gram to six grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her sisters Anna Frick and Margaret Peterson.

Dudy grew up in Madison and married Joe Christmas Day 1942. Together they ran Post Road Wood Products and traveled around the world and the United States. She will be remembered for her generous and outgoing spirit, as well as her infectious sense of humor. She shone in every aspect of her long and fruitful life, and will be greatly missed by her family.

Services will be held privately at the convenience of the family.
