Elizabeth Egan Mazzacane passed away peacefully July 21 surrounded by her family. She was born Sept. 11, 1937.

She is survived by her son Michael DeFelice and her daughter Janet Colello, both of Branford; and her long-time companion Frank DeFelice of 154 Highland Ave., East Haven. She is predeceased by her two younger children, James Mazzacane, Jr., and Dawn Pellegrino. She is also survived by nine grandchildren.

Elizabeth dedicated her life to helping others in the health care field, and she worked for many years in private home care. She retired after 25 years of devoted service to Hospice in Branford.

A Mass was held at St. Mary’s Church in Branford on July 26. Burial was private.
