North Branford

Frank Talarczyk, 96, of North Branford, formerly of New Haven, passed away peacefully on July 24 at Apple Rehab Laurel Woods. He was born on Nov. 6, 1921, in Arcadia, Pennsylvania, to Thomas and Mary (Kroll) Talarczyk.

Frank is survived by his son Francis Talarczyk of Brooksville, Florida; grandchildren James Brennan and Amy Talarczyk Malano; and five great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents and wife Immacolata Talarczyk.

Frank was a veteran of World War II, serving in the US Marine Corps 3rd Marine Division. He saw action on Iwo Jima. Frank was very active in the community, volunteering as a Troop 16 scoutmaster and as a Young Marines Drill Instructor. He was a Eucharistic Minister at St. Donato Church, and was a member of American Legion Post 76. Frank retired from O.F. Mossberg in New Haven, where he was employed as a machine repairman.
