Anthony R. DiLungo, 49, of East Haven, beloved husband of Diane Trischitti DiLungo, passed away on July 11. Anthony was born in New Haven on July 26, 1968, son of Josephine Vitelli DiLungo of East Haven and the late Pasquale G. “Patsy” DiLungo.

He was the brother of Pasquale L. “Butch” (Laurie Anastasio) DiLungo of Branford and Mark (Lori) DiLungo of North Branford. He was the uncle of Jennifer DiLungo, Lisa (Michael Verderame) DiLungo, Mark “Sparky” (Katie) DiLungo, Christopher (Catherine) DiLungo, Michelle DiLungo, and Anthony and Alana Trischitti; and great-uncle of RJ Newman, Michael and Anthony Verderame, Tessa Sabo, Gennaro, Milania, Sienna, and Francesca DiLungo, Peyton and Ariana DiLungo, and the late Giovanni DiLungo. He was the brother-in-law of John (Susan) Trischitti and Jimmy Trischitti.

Prior to his retirement, Anthony was an electrician for D.F.G. Electric Company. Anthony was a 1986 graduate of East Haven High School, where he accumulated many honors, including being a member of the 1985 All Housatonic Hockey Team, 1986 All State Division 1 Hockey Team, and a member of the 2003 Hall of Fame. Anthony then went on to become a youth hockey coach for the town of East Haven and high school hockey coach for East Haven High School. He also played hockey for AIC and Quinnipiac Colleges. He was an avid New York Yankee fan and loved to take trips to Disney World.

Relatives and friends are invited to go directly to Our Lady of Pompeii Church to celebrate A Mass of Christian burial on July 16 at 11:00 a.m. Interment will follow in All Saints Cemetery. Friends may call at the Porto Funeral Home, 234 Foxon Rd.
