Branford

Michael W. Milles of Branford died suddenly July 3 at Yale-New Haven Hospital. He was the beloved husband of Tracey Sayers Milles. Mike was born in New Haven Aug. 7, 1959, son of Norman “Bud” Milles of Branford, and the late Barbara Egan Milles.

He was a lifelong resident of Branford. Mike was the owner of his own electrical contracting business, MECO Electric. He also worked for the IBEW Local 90. He was an avid golfer and he loved to ski. He loved to travel, especially to Block Island. He was an extremely generous person with an infectious personality who lit up every room he walked into.

He cherished his family, and besides his wife Tracey and his father Bud, Mike is survived by his children Ryan Milles “foolish” of New York, New York, and Kendall Milles “little bit” of Branford; his sisters Donna Hatcher of Cranston, Rhode Island, and Nancy Flanagan of East Lyme; his brothers Robert Milles and Norman “Chip” (Sue) Milles, Jr., of Branford; and his dog Miko. He was predeceased by his brother Gary Milles. Mike is also survived by many friends whom he greatly loved.

Visiting hours were held July 8 at the W.S. Clancy Memorial Funeral Home, 244 N. Main St., Branford. A Mass of Christian burial was celebrated July 9 at St. Therese Church, Branford.
