Annette E. Chrystal of Clinton passed away on June 9. She was born in Canada, the daughter of Edgar Melanson and Lila Savoie Melanson.

Annette was formerly employed at Garrity. She was a member of the Columbiettes in Killingworth, and enjoyed knitting and going to Bingo.

Annette is survived by her sons Paul Chrystal of Middletown and Eddie Chrystal and his wife Jamie of Clinton; grandchildren Anthony, Bethany, Lily, Molly, John, James, Autumn, and Emilie; and aunts Ida Melanson and her husband Iroi of Killingworth, Lillianne Motta of Clinton, Corinne LeBlanc, and Teresa Theriault, both of Canada, and Mary Melanson and her husband Leonard of Simsbury.

A calling hour will be held on June 18 from 10 to 11 a.m. in St. Lawrence Church, 7 Hemlock Dr., Killingworth, followed by a Mass of Christian burial that will begin at 11 a.m. Burial will follow in Resurrection Cemetery, Westbrook. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations to help with funeral expenses may be made to Paul Chrystal, c/o Swan Funeral Home, 80 E. Main St., Clinton, CT 06413.
