North Haven

Anthony N. Lacobelli, 83, of North Haven, passed away peacefully on May 8 at his home with his family by his side. He was the beloved husband of 55 years to Linda Prentice Lacobelli. Anthony was born in New Haven on Nov. 16, 1934, the son of the late Lucien and Concetta Patricelli Lacobelli.

He served his country faithfully in the US Army during the Vietnam era. Anthony worked for National Lumber Company for many years then later worked for Call Peter Inc. for 30 years until his retirement. He was a sports enthusiast, being an avid St. Louis Cardinals and New England Patriots fan.

He was the father of Anthony Lacobelli, Carol DiGiovanni, and Diane Cella (Chip); the grandfather of Nicholas, Anthony, and Jack DiGiovanni; the brother of MaryAnn Severino and the late Gene Lacobelli; and the brother-in-law of Joyce and Gloria Bellonio.

Family and friends are invited to go directly to St. Barnabas Church, 44 Washington Ave., North Haven, on May 11 at 10:00 a.m. to attend a Mass of Christian burial, and are also invited to attend the committal service immediately following in All Saints Cemetery with full military honors.
