Branford

Bob Criscuolo, 61 years young, of Branford died suddenly on April 20 at Yale-New Haven Hospital from complications of pancreatic cancer.

Bob worked as a civil engineer and land surveyor, starting his own business in 1984 located in North Branford, eventually moving the office to Branford, where it is located at the present time. Anyone who knew Bob in a professional capacity knew that he put his heart and soul into his company. His legacy will live on in the countless projects and surveys that he completed over his long, dedicated career.

Bob and his family enjoyed many wonderful memories boating, and he was a member and past commodore of Branford Yacht Club. He was a past rotarian and served on many boards relating to his profession. He was an avid golfer and member of Wallingford Country Club for many years, serving on the board of governors. The first to offer and last to accept help, Bob was family and friend to many.

Bob leaves behind his beloved wife and best friend of 36 years, Sharon Firth Criscuolo; sons Robert K. (Diane) Criscuolo of California and Keith A. Criscuolo of North Branford; his 3 granddaughters; his sister Laura Williams of Branford; and his extended family and close friends.

Visiting hours will be held at the W.S. Clancy Memorial Funeral Home, 244 N. Main St., Branford, from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. on April 25. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in Bob’s name to the Closer to Free Fund, P.O. Box 1849, New Haven, CT 06508. A special thank you to all the staff at Yale-New Haven Hospital who treated Bob with such dignity and professionalism. Please see his online memorial at www.wsclancy.com.
