East Haven

Frances Raffone, 92, lifelong resident of East Haven, passed away April 20 at home. She was born Aug. 15, 1925, in New Haven to Ralph and Louise (Simone) Fusco. She is preceded in death by her husband Ovidio “Vic” Raffone (1979); son Ralph Raffone (2015); and brother Francis “Sonny” Fusco.

Frances is survived by her loving children Patricia Beale (Richard Dickau) of East Haven, Suzanne Raffone (Pat Gentile) of New Haven, Ovidio “Vic” Raffone, Jr., of Branford; 14 grandchildren, Christopher Raffone (Lauren), Adam Raffone (Michelle), Eric Raffone (fiancée Caitlyn Kennedy), Jeffrey Beale, Alison Beale, Michelle Bozzuto (Jason), Jennifer Pollio, Joseph Pollio, Jacquelyn Medina (James), Gabrielle Raffone, Ovidio “Vic” Raffone III, Jacob Raffone, Noah Raffone, and Victoria Raffone; and 5 great-grandchildren, Christopher Raffone Jr., Nicholas Ralph Raffone, Luke Raffone, Leah Bozzuto, and Tyler Bozzuto. Frances is also survived by a sister, Phyllis Tinari of East Haven; daughter-in-law Adele Raffone; former daughter-in-law Ania Raffone; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Frances was a devoted and caring wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. Her family was her life.

The family received friends on April 24 at the Clancy-Palumbo Funeral Home (Clancy Funeral Home), 43 Kirkham Ave., East Haven. The funeral procession left the Clancy-Palumbo Funeral Home following Calling Hours for a Mass of Christian burial in St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church, Taylor Avenue, East Haven, followed by Committal at All Saints Cemetery in North Haven.
