Joseph Oddi, 89, of East Haven, beloved husband of Lillian DelGrosso Oddi, passed away on April 1 in Connecticut Hospice. Joe was born in New Haven on Oct. 8, son of the late Ceaser and Pia Ciampini Oddi.

Prior to his retirement, Joe was a steel worker for the former Detroit Steel Company. He was also a WWII Marine veteran.

He was the loving father of Sharon Burress of East Haven, John (Doreen) Moschette of Seymour, Lauren (David DeSantos) Moschette of Charlotte, North Carolina, and the late Barbara Ann Nelson. He is also survived by six grandchildren and six great-grandchildren, and predeceased by a granddaughter, Nicole Willis. He was the brother of the late Frances Oddi, Pia Vohar, Mary Criscuolo, and Frank Oddi.

Relatives and friends were invited to a Memorial Mass in Our Lady of Pompeii Church April 7. Interment will be private. There were no calling hours.
