Marc C. Heinig, 30, of North Haven, beloved son of Walter E. Heinig III and Eileen Slater Heinig, passed away April 11 at his home. Marc was born in New Haven on Feb. 27, 1988.

He was a 2006 graduate of North Haven High School and obtained a bachelor’s degree in accounting from Quinnipiac University. Marc had a landscaping business for many years, which he really enjoyed, and later was a budget analyst for Yale University Medical School. He loved anything with a motor, especially his blue Harley Davidson Motorcycle and Motorcross; he was an excellent soccer player who made captain of the North Haven High School Soccer Team and later played for the South Central Premier Soccer Team.

He was the beloved brother of Erik W. Heinig and his wife Rebecca Shatsoff Heinig. He was the nephew of Paul and Barbara Slater of Florida. He was the loving grandson of the late Walter (Mickey) Heinig, Jr. He is also survived by his beloved dog Buddy.

Family and friends may call at the North Haven Funeral Home, 36 Washington Ave., on April 14 from 2:00 to 5:00 p.m., followed by a funeral service to be conducted at 5:00 p.m. Interment will be private and at the convenience of the family.
