04/11/2018 12:00 AMJohn F. Colombo, Sr., of Brooklyn, New York and Chester passed away March 17. For the past 46 years he enjoyed spending the summers at his house in Cedar Lake.
He served four years in the United States Air Force. He was retired from the NYSA-ILA where he worked for 48 years.
He is survived by his wife Micheline, his sons Michael and John Jr. and his wife Bickiana, and his grandson Michael.
A Mass of the Resurrection was celebrated at St. Dominic Roman Catholic Church in Brooklyn, New York. Graveside services were officiated by local clergy and military honors were offered by the United States Air Force at Fountain Hill Cemetery in Deep River. Memorial donations can be made to St. Joseph’s Roman Catholic Church, 48 Middlesex Turnpike, Chester, CT 06412.
