Clinton

It is with great sadness that the family of Alexandra Vuilleumier of Clinton announce her passing on Feb. 13 at the age of 46, after a courageous battle with cancer. Alex will be forever remembered by her husband of 24 years, Steve, and her three beautiful daughters, Amber, Robyn, and Joelle. Alex will also be remembered by her numerous nieces, nephews, extended family, and dear friends.

Alex was born in Moutier, Switzerland, and is survived by her parents Bernard and Yolande Burrus of Moutier and her brother Fabrice Burrus of Delemont.

Alex worked as a mechanical drafter before raising her kids, and then returned to work as a teacher's aide at the Joel school in Clinton. Alex loved spending time with her family and friends, enjoying the outdoors, working in her flower garden, going for walks, and admiring sunsets. She also shared with the world her artistic talents through painting, photography, and assorted crafts like jewelry and card making.

Visitation for Alex will be held from 12:00 to 3:00 p.m. on March 3 at the Swan Funeral Home, 80 E. Main St., Clinton, CT 06413. We encourage you to leave a message in the online guest book or a photo. Please visit www.mem.com/07761518. These will be printed out in a memorable scrapbook later, with the pictures from the site. Thank you, Vuilleumier family.

Memorial donations in memory of Alex can be made to Connecticut Hospice, 100 Double Beach Rd., Branford, CT 06405, or website hospice.com.
