Rosalie Patricia Mericle Gesino, 84, of North Haven, beloved wife of the late Albert Gesino and George A. Costello, passed away on Feb. 18 in Connecticut Hospice. Rosalie was born in New Haven on Jan. 8, 1934, daughter of the late John and Rena Moscarello Mericle.

Pat loved to travel and had many fun trips that she always talked about. She was the happiest having family and friends gathered around her big table for a great meal and many laughs.

She was the loving mother of Colleen (Joseph) Serra of North Branford; Rene (Kenneth) Kuester of East Haven; and Cindy Blankenship of Northford. She was the grandmother of Alyssa and Lauren Serra; Michael and Amanda Capasso; and the late Scott Farquharson. She was the great-grandmother of Jamison and Jocelyn Dimes. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother.

Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to the Porto Funeral Home, 234 Foxon Rd. (Rte. 80), East Haven, and are private. There will be no calling hours.
