Branford

Anthony Kobylanski of Branford died peacefully on Feb. 7 at Connecticut Hospice in Branford. He was the husband of Edythe McBrierty Kobylanski of Branford.

He was the father of Melissa Coyle (James) of Guilford. He was the son of Irene Swirenko Kobylanski of Hamden and the brother of Stanley Kobylanski (Pauline) of North Haven. He is also survived by his beloved grandchildren Maeve, Andrew, and Madelyn, as well as many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his father Roman Kobylanski and his brother John Kobylanski.

Anthony was born in Wells, Austria, on Oct. 15, 1947. He was a veteran of the US Navy. He was a museum tech for Yale University and the Peabody Museum. He was also a volunteer fireman for 45 years at M.P. Rice in Branford.

Friends called Feb. 12 at the W.S. Clancy Memorial Funeral Home, 244 N. Main St., Branford. A Mass of Christian burial was celebrated on Feb. 13 at St. Therese Church in Branford. Burial was private.
