Gerald S. “Jerry” Peterson of Branford died Dec. 10 in Branford. Jerry was born in New Haven Oct. 5, 1963, son of Bertil Peterson of Branford and the late Barbara Byrne Peterson, and he was a lifelong Branford resident.

Jerry worked for Su Casa restaurant in Branford for many years. He was an avid sports fan, especially of the Boston Red Sox and the New York Giants. He loved to golf and to bowl.

Besides his father, Jerry is survived by his sons Andrew D. and Christopher E. Peterson of Branford; his sister Cathy DeFrances of Wethersfield; brother Edward Peterson of Gilbert, Arizona; and his four nieces.

Friends are invited to a visitation Dec. 15 from 4:00 to 7:30 p.m., followed by a service at 7:30 p.m. at the W.S. Clancy Memorial Funeral Home, 244 N. Main St., Branford. Burial will be private. For directions and an online memorial, see www.wsclancy.com.
