Anthony Vecchio, 37, of East Haven passed away Dec. 1 at Yale-New Haven Hospital after battling a long illness. He was born April 14, 1980, in New Haven to Vincent Vecchio and Marjorie Cancel.

Anthony is survived by his parents; his loving wife of 8 years, Jennifer (Ruggiero) Vecchio of East Haven; and four siblings, Ronald Vecchio, Vincent Vecchio, Tiffany Cancel, and Alana Cancel. Anthony is also survived by his nephew Michael Vecchio; grandmother Anne Gentile; in-laws Andy and Rosa (Camputaro) Ruggiero; and a sister-in-law, Jacqueline Ruggiero.

Anthony and Jennifer have been inseparable for the last 15 years. Anthony worked in the HVAC industry for the past 20 years and was known for his smile and kind soul.
