East Haven

Anita Levatino, 73, of East Haven died on Nov. 7 at Connecticut Hospice. She was the wife of Philip Levatino, Sr. She was born in New Haven on March 4, 1944, to the late Michael and Loretta Pulisciano Levatino.

She worked as a machine operator for Sargent & Company for nearly 20 years. After leaving Sargent, she became a lunch room attendant at Overbrook School, East Haven, for 15 years, only recently retiring. Besides spending time with her family, Anita loved to garden and go with her husband to the casino.

She is survived by a daughter, April Wilson of East Haven; two brothers, Michael (Geri) DeMarco of East Haven and Danny DeMarco of Middletown; and two sisters, Linda (Salvatore) Marino of New Haven and Mollie (Joseph) Perrelli of North Branford. She is also survived by two grandsons, Chad Staples and Anthony DeMaio. She was predeceased by two sisters, Lori DeMarco and Joan Orifice; and a brother, Billy Figerea.

The funeral left the East Haven Memorial Longobardi-Brennan Funeral Home, 425 Main St., East Haven, Nov. 13 for a Funeral Mass at St. Pio of Pietrelcina (formerly St. Vincent de Paul Church), Taylor Avenue, East Haven.
