John C. Dejlitko, 74, of East Haven, died on Nov. 4 at Montowese Health and Rehabilitation Center. He was the husband of the late Susan Jean Williams Dejlitko. John was born in Germany to the late Julian and Tekla Usenko Dejlitko on Aug. 26, 1943.

He worked as a printer for Columbia Printing for many years until the company’s closing in 2000. He was also an avid fisherman.

He is survived by two sons, John Dejlitko of East Haven and Christopher John (Diane) Dejlitko of West Haven; a daughter, Dawn Marie Dejlitko of Middletown; a daughter-in-law, Diane Dejlitko; a sister, Jane Karelus of Watertown, New York; two grandchildren, Matthew and Amanda Dejlitko; and his best friend Eddy Scarinzi. Besides his parents and wife, he was predeceased by two brothers, Joseph and Dominic Dejlitko.

There was a memorial service on Nov. 10 at the East Haven Memorial Longobardi–Brennan Funeral Home, 425 Main St., East Haven, 203-467-1708. Burial was private.
