Mary J. Langley, 94, of Old Saybrook passed away peacefully on Nov. 11 at Apple Rehabilitation Center in Old Saybrook. Born in Santa Maria, California, on Aug. 23, 1923, she was the daughter of the late Horace and Ruth Young Chaffin.

Mary retired from the former Echlin Automotive in Branford after 25 years. She was a devoted mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother who enjoyed doll collecting and crocheting. Mary was a kind, quiet lady and will be greatly missed.

She is survived by five children, Gordon Collier (Rebecca) of Vacaville, California; Dianne and Robert Turchen of Clinton; Ruth and Raymond Quick of Clinton; Richard and Donna Langley of Old Saybrook; and Kim Langley of Clinton. She is also survived by many grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by her son Timothy Langley.
