Carlos E. Martinez, 62, beloved husband of Esther Casilla Martinez of East Haven, passed away Nov. 5 in Yale-New Haven Hospital. He was the son of Carlos Martinez and the late Judith DeJesus Martinez.

He was the loving father of Peggy and Charlene Martinez, Madelyne Vazquez, and Victor Manuel Gonzalez. He was the stepfather of Roberto Vargas, Sr., Roberto Vargas, Jr., Destiny L. Vargas, Lissette Gotay, and Jose Luis Gotay. He was the brother of Ruth Torres, Wanda DeLeon, Milagro, Daniel, David, and John Martinez, and the late Evelyn Malave. He is also survived by 15 cherished grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren.

At the time of his death Carlos worked for the Sargent Co. for 40 years. He was an avid golfer.
