Hartford and Branford

Thomas N. Tolisano, 96, of Branford, formerly of Hartford, passed away peacefully on Nov. 9 at Yale-New Haven Hospital with his family by his side. He was the beloved husband of Laura M. Pouliot Tolisano. Thomas was born in Poquonock on March 12, 1921, and was the son of the late Salvatore and Rachael Tamburi Tolisano.

He served his country faithfully in the US Army during WWII. Thomas worked for Grey Manufacturing, Schwartz Parking Systems, Hartford, and Connecticut Golf Land, Vernon. He was a member of the V.F.W. of Hartford, the Italian-American Veterans Association, and the Personnel Directors Club.

He was the father of Thomas V. (Susan) Tolisano and the late Gary D. Tolisano. He was the grandfather of Jason (Kerry) Tolisano and Alison (Jonathan) Totton. He was the great-grandfather of Emmett and Kyle Tolisano, and Giulia Totton. He was predeceased by his siblings Isabel Marone, Florence Lamonth, and Victor, Dominic, and Sam Tolisano.

Family and friends are invited to attend a Mass of Christian burial on Nov. 18 at 10:00 a.m. in St. Barnabas Church, 44 Washington Ave., North Haven. There will be no visiting hours. Interment will be private and at the convenience of the family in West Meadow Cemetery, Newington. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Connecticut Hospice, Inc., 100 Double Beach Rd., Branford, CT 06405.
