Antonio “Tony” DeFalco, 80, of New Haven, died on Nov. 1 at Yale-New Haven Hospital. He was the husband of the late Anna Maria “Mary” Tedeschi DeFalco. He was born in Sant’Antimo, Naples, Italy, on Oct. 17, 1937, to the late Nicholas and Assunta DeFalco.

Tony worked for 30 years at Metro North Railroad in the Track & Structures Department, until retiring in 1999. He was a devoted man who loved his family, his wife’s cooking, and fixing TVs.

He is survived by a son, Nicholas DeFalco of Fountain Hills, Arizona; a daughter, Assunta “Sue” DeFalco of New Haven; a brother, Albert (Mary) DeFalco of North Haven; three sisters, Maria d’Acunto of Milan, Italy, Maria DeFalco of New Haven, and Rita DeFalco of Meriden; plus his nine grandchildren, Jennifer (Anthony) Germe, Sloane Buell, Anthony (Karyn) DeFalco, Ralph DeFalco, Nicole (Dan) Wolf, Jenna DeFalco, Thomas (Chalace) DeFalco, Jr., Antonio (Ashley) DeFalco, and Jonathan DeFalco. He is also survived by 13 great-grandchildren. He was predeceased by a son, Thomas DeFalco; a grandson, Cameron DeFalco; a brother, Dominic DeFalco; and a sister, Giuseppina Iavarone.

The funeral left the East Haven Memorial Longobardi–Brennan Funeral Home, 425 Main St., East Haven, 203-467-1708, Nov. 6 for a Funeral Mass at St. Pio Pietrelcina Church (formerly St. Vincent de Paul), Taylor Avenue, East Haven.
