Killingworth

Jacqueline Doolittle, 70, a longtime resident of Killingworth, died on Nov. 10. “Jackie” Doolittle, loving wife of David Doolittle, passed away peacefully at Middlesex Hospital. Jackie was born Feb. 15, 1947, in West Haven, adopted daughter of the late Stanley Walker and Ruth Sauder Walker.

In her youth, Jackie was involved in 4H, Order of the Rainbow for Girls, and the Honor Society before graduating with the Guilford High School Class of 1964 and continuing on to Southern Connecticut State College. In her 40 years in Killingworth she enjoyed the country living, breeding Dachshunds and Newfoundland dogs, quilting, rug hooking, and raising three Eagle Scouts.

She is survived by her husband Dave; her sons Michael, Jason, and Gregory; her two grandsons, James and Loraido; as well as two dogs, many cats, and her parrot. She was predeceased by her brother Jerald Walker.

Private graveside services will be held by her family at Evergreen Cemetery, Killingworth. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Meriden Humane Society, 311 Murdock Ave., Meriden, CT 06450.
