Joan Ellen Conway, 58, of Branford, formerly of East Haven, passed away peacefully on Oct. 25 at Yale-New Haven Hospital with her family by her side. Joan was born in New Haven on March 1, 1959, the daughter of the late Edward and Betty Engelbrecht Beavis.

She was the mother of Travis S. Conway; the sister of Linda (Vincent) Piscitelli, Susan (Paul) Eligio, Edward Beavis, and George (Donna) Beavis. She is also survived by her former husband, Thomas Conway, aunts, nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Funeral services were conducted in the North Haven Funeral Home, 36 Washington Ave., on Nov. 1. Family and friends called until time of service. Interment will be private and at the convenience of the family. For an online obituary, visit www.northavenfuneral.com.
