Anthony M. Paturzo, Sr., 87, of North Branford, beloved husband of the late Josephine T. Grego Paturzo, passed away on Oct. 17 in Branford Hills Health Care Center. Anthony was born in New Haven on April 9, 1930, son of the late Louis and Cocetta Massa Paturzo.

Prior to his retirement Anthony was a conductor for Metro North Railroad.

He was the loving father of Jo-Ann (Jack Barbera) Paturzo Potter of North Branford, Anthony M. (Heather) Paturzo, Jr., of Guilford, Mark (Sharon) Paturzo of Durham, and Lori-Ann Paturzo of North Branford. He was the grandfather of William and Lillian Paturzo; and the brother of the late Frank, Louis, Joseph, and Salvatore Paturzo.

Relatives and friends are invited to a parlor service in the Porto Funeral Home, 234 Foxon Rd. (Rte. 80), East Haven, Oct. 21 at 10:00 a.m. Interment will follow in All Saints Cemetery. Friends may call Oct. 20 from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the St. Jude Children’s Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
