10/20/2017 12:00 AMJessie Caturano Caruso, 87, of East Haven, beloved wife of the late Anthony Caruso, passed away on Oct. 13 in Apple Rehab Guilford. Jessie was born in New Haven on July 30, 1930, daughter of the late Alphonse and Anna Capone Caturano.
Prior to her retirement, Jessie worked in the Quality Control Department for Robby Len Company. She was also a Eucharistic minister for Our Lady of Pompeii Church and an East Haven Republican Town Council member.
She was the loving mother of Linda Caruso of East Haven and Carol (Stephen) McGovern of Northford, and the late Karen Caruso and Anthony Caruso, Jr. She was the grandmother of Stephen M. Jr. and Jordan McGovern. She was the sister of Salvatore Caturano of Arizona and the late James and Gerald Caturano.
Her funeral procession left the Porto Funeral Home, 234 Foxon Rd. (Rte. 80), East Haven, Oct. 18. A Mass of Christian burial was celebrated in Our Lady of Pompeii Church.
