Branford

Florence C. Osochowsky, 92, of Branford, died peacefully at her home on Oct. 15, surrounded by her loving family. She was the devoted wife of her late husband of 68 years, Jerry J. Osochowsky. Florence was born May 24, 1925 in New Haven, daughter of the late Stephen and Pauline Grabowski.

Florence graduated in 1943 from Commercial High School, where she met the love of her life, Jerry J. She was a volunteer secretary at St. Therese Church in Branford for five years. She also worked as the cafeteria manager at the Francis Walsh Intermediate School in Branford for 30 years, where she was affectionately known as “lunch grandma.” Florence also volunteered at Connecticut Hospice.

She is survived by her daughters, Nancy Perrelli and Cynde (Stuart) Kerr, as well as her grandsons, Adam Perrelli and Michael Kerr. She was predeceased by her sons, Stanley, Robert and Jeffrey.

Her funeral left the W.S. Clancy Memorial Funeral Home, Branford, on Oct. 19 for a Mass of Christian Burial in St. Therese Church. Burial followed in St. Agnes Cemetery.
