Branford

Teresa Migliaro Barbuto, 78, of Branford died on Oct. 3 in Yale-New Haven Hospital with her loving family by her side. She was the loving wife of the late Michael Barbuto. Teresa was born in New Haven on Nov. 14, 1938, to the late Dominic and Lucia Mondello Migliaro.

She was the devoted sister of Carmel Suntino Trapanotto, John C. Migliaro, Salvatore Migliaro, and Dominic Migliaro, Jr. She was the aunt of Raymond Suntino, Lucyann DiGioia, Elizabeth Giammattei, John Migliaro, Salvatore Migliaro, Jr., and Andrew Minicozzi.

Teresa loved to go skiing with her husband Michael on the mountains in Colorado, Vermont, and New Hampshire. Together they also enjoyed many summers aboard their boat at the Branford Yacht Club. She enjoyed being in the company of her friends, especially with the members of her high school class at reunions and luncheons. She enjoyed listening to Italian music and cooking. Teresa was a devoted wife, daughter, sister, and friend who was dearly loved and will be deeply missed.

Visiting hours were Oct. 6 in the Iovanne Funeral Home, Inc., 11 Wooster Pl., New Haven. A Mass of Christian burial was celebrated in St. Michael Church. Burial followed in St. Agnes Cemetery, Branford.
