Gary M. Heffernan, 65, of North Haven, passed away peacefully on Oct. 5 at Masonicare with his beloved wife and dear friends at his side. Gary was the beloved husband of Susan M. Guckert. He was born in New Haven on Feb. 15, 1952, and was the son of the late Walter and Elizabeth Lassen Heffernan.

He worked for SNET/Cox Communications for many years until retirement.

He was the father of Sarah (William) Lundell and Rachel (Ronald) Cislo; and the grandfather of Katelyn Cislo and Liam, Keira, and Ella Lundell.

Funeral services were conducted in the North Haven Congregational Church on Oct. 10. Interment will be private and at the convenience of the family. There were no visiting hours. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Animal Haven, 89 Mill Rd., North Haven, CT 06473.
