Old Saybrook

Teri Ann (Kruppenbach) Bennett, 52, a resident of Old Saybrook, unexpectedly passed away Sept. 29 at Middlesex Memorial Hospital after a brief illness with her family at her side. Teri was born on Nov. 23, 1964, in Reading, Pennsylvania, to Esther (Terry) and the late Heister Kruppenbach.

The family resided in Knauers, Pennsylvania, before moving to Old Saybrook in 1965. She graduated from Old Saybrook High School in 1982 and earned her nursing degree from Pacific Coast College in Santa Ana, California. She was an accomplished and generous nurse whose whole career was dedicated to providing excellent care to her patients. Teri will be most remembered and missed for her beautiful smile and kind heart.

She will be missed by her dearly loved life partner Robert “Bob” Vanderburgh; her parents Edward and Esther Nelson; her siblings Lori (Feliciano) Lynch (Robert) of Las Vegas, Nevada; Lisa Feliciano-Coron (Chris) of Burton, Michigan; David Nelson (Jody) of Old Lyme; Leslie Nelson of Uncasville; Emily Rich (John) of Madison; and Edward Nelson, Jr., of Westbrook and Nickolas.
