Maria A. Isabettini Tonucci, 89, of Guilford, beloved wife of the late Arthur M. Tonucci, Sr., passed away peacefully with her family by her side on Sept. 18 in Connecticut Hospice. Maria was born in New Haven on July 14, 1928, daughter of the late Mariano and Enes Carboni Isabettini.

Prior to her retirement in 1993, Maria was an officer for the former New Haven Savings Bank. She graduated from St. Mary’s High School and Larson College. Maria was a communicant of St. George Church.

She was the mother of Mark R. (Kathryn) Tonucci of East Haven and Arthur M. (Ann) Tonucci, Jr., of Fairfield.

A Mass of Christian burial was celebrated Sept. 22 in Our Lady of Pompeii Church. Interment followed in St. Lawrence Cemetery. The Porto Funeral Home, East Haven, was in charge of the arrangements.
