Northford and North Haven

Helen “Tootsie” Laurello Connor, 93, of North Haven, formerly of Northford for many years, passed away peacefully on Sept. 13 at the Connecticut Hospice, Branford. She was the beloved wife of the late John Connor. Tootsie was born in New Haven on Jan. 8, 1924, the daughter of the late Bartolomeo and Maria Russo Laurello.

She attended Stone Business School and was a longtime employee of the SNET Company, where she served as a union representative.

She is survived by many nieces, nephews, great-nieces, and great-nephews. She was predeceased by her siblings Clement, Nicholas, Ralph, Joseph, and Monsignor Bartholomew Laurello, and Fay Miranda, Rose Silvestro, and Mary Cubbellotti.

Family and friends are invited to go directly to St. Monica Church on Sept. 18 at 10:00 a.m. to attend a Mass of Christian burial, and are also invited to attend the committal service immediately following in Northford Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St. Monica Church, 1321 Middletown Ave., Northford, CT 06472. There will be no visiting hours.
