North Branford

Jeanne L. Kamienski, 96, of North Branford, formerly of Main Street, East Haven, died on Aug. 18 at her home. She was the wife of the late John E. Kamienski. She was born in Newtown on Nov. 22, 1920.

She was a member of the Ladies Guild for St. Vincent de Paul Church; worked as a moderator at the polling station at Overbrook School for many years; and was active with the East Haven Seniors.

She is survived by two sons, Norman (Sherry) Kamienski of Hamden and Edmund (Judy) Kamienski of East Haven; and two daughters, Rhea Parillo of North Branford with whom she lived and Denise Rapuano of Winsted. She is also survived by 7 grandchildren, 20 great-grandchildren, and 3 great-great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by two sons-in-law, Pasquale Parillo and Anthony Rapuano, and a sister, Mary Lou Russo.

Jeanne’s family would like to extend a special heartfelt thank you to her dedicated caregivers registered nurses Deb Blanco and Christina Emanuele, and certified nurses assistants April Dawson, Sam Reguerio, and Gina Depukat, and CNA Laura Walker.

Her funeral procession left the East Haven Memorial Longobardi–Brennan Funeral Home, 425 Main St., East Haven, 203-467-1708, Aug. 23 for a funeral mass in St. Vincent de Paul Church.
