Clinton

Robert Miller died on July 24.

Bob grew up in Fair Haven with his parents James and Mary Miller and his two brothers James and Daniel Miller.

He was born to build and modify engines. He was a master machinist and he raced the machines he built, first cars, then boats, then motorcycles. He owned and operated Hamden Cycle Center in Hamden for 20 years, and then relocated to Clinton where he opened Miller Specialties, a very well-known Italian motorcycle shop specializing in restoration.

His family Lauren, Dan, and Lane Carson, John, Samantha, and Jesse Miller, Joann Miller, Julia Hussong, and Reeco and Noah Carter would like to invite family and friends to a gathering at the Stony Creek Fife & Drum Corps Seaside Hall, 215 Thimble Island Rd., Branford, on Saturday, Sept. 9 at 11 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. Donations may be made to Robin’s Nest, 94 High St., Clinton, CT 06413, where Bob was lovingly cared for in his last years.
