Donna M. McKenna, 73, of Guilford passed away peacefully Aug. 13 surrounded by her loving family. Donna was born Jan. 1, 1944, in Brooklyn, New York, daughter of the late Maximillion and Frances (McGarry) Simpson.

She is survived by her devoted husband of 40 years, James M. McKenna; her children Megan (Michael) Pepe of Guilford, James McKenna of Guilford, and Brian McKenna of Aspen, Colorado; her granddaughters Stella and Caroline Pepe; her siblings Donald Simpson, Sandra Simpson, and Roberta McEvoy; and extended family Mary Jane (Kevin) McGuire, Michaele (the late Thomas) McKenna, and Daniel and Eileen McKenna. She is also survived by her nieces and nephews, great-nieces and -nephews, and many dear friends.

Donna will be greatly missed for her positive outlook, thoughtfulness, and kindness to everyone she met.

A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at St. George Church, 33 Whitfield St., Guilford, on Aug. 18 at 10 a.m. Burial will follow in St. Agnes Cemetery, 285 East Main St., Branford. Friends may call Aug. 17 from 5 to 8 p.m. at Guilford Funeral Home, 115 Church St., Guilford.
