Guilford

Keith F. Vogt, 65, of Guilford died on July 19 at Connecticut Hospice. He was the loving husband of Maureen Withington Vogt for the past 35 years. He was born in New Haven on Oct. 31, 1951, to the late Milton E. and Bernice E. Hoyt Vogt.

He was the beloved brother of Marilyn Slifka of Madison and Donald (Crystal) Vogt of Guilford. He also leaves his stepdaughter Karen Tirozzi and her wife Danielle Pease of Boston, Massachusetts; and two stepsons, Michael Tirozzi and his wife Denise of Wellesley, Massachusetts, and Timothy Tirozzi of Watertown, Massachusetts. He is also survived by three grandchildren whom he loved with all his heart, Isabelle, Miles, and Ethan Tirozzi.

Keith was a USPS letter carrier for 35 years until being forced to retire in 2008 due to an injury. He loved to feed treats to all the dogs along his route. They would all listen for his truck and wait for him to come to their home. Keith loved to play golf and became an avid Boston Red Sox fan. For the past 40 years, he was also an avid Denver Broncos fan.

A memorial service took place on July 29 at the East Haven Memorial Longobardi–Brennan Funeral Home, 425 Main St., East Haven, 203-467-1708. Friends called prior to the service. Interment of ashes was in Westside Cemetery, Guilford.
