Edward “Freddy” Wenzel, 46, of North Haven passed away on Aug. 3 at his home. He was born in New Haven on July 18, 1971, and was the son of Edward W. Wenzel and Denise Diglio Wenzel.

Freddy worked for the Connecticut Laborers Union for many years and was an avid Pittsburgh Steelers and New York Yankees fan.

He was the father of Fallon K. Keating and Edward D. Wenzel; the brother of Joseph W. Wenzel; and the uncle of Joey Wenzel. He is also survived by the mother of his children, Kara A. Keating. He was predeceased by his grandparents Dominic and Rita Diglio.

Family and friends were invited to go directly to St. Therese Church, 555 Middletown Ave., North Haven, Aug. 8 to attend a Mass of Christian burial, followed by the committal service in All Saints Cemetery.
