Branford

Bonnie Fucci of Branford died Aug. 1 at Lawrence and Memorial Hospital in New London. She was the beloved wife of Gabriel Fucci. Bonnie was born May 30, 1944, in Savannah, Georgia, the daughter of Bernadine Poulton of Florida and the late Edwin Poulton.

She is survived by her children Guy (Tammy) Fucci of Old Saybrook, and Sherri (Michael) Rollinson and Michele Fucci, both of Branford; her grandchildren Jared, Nicholas, Alex, and Samantha; and her sister Jean Paul of Branford.

She was a loving wife, mother, and grandmother, as well as a reliable friend to many. Bonnie won the hearts of everyone she met. She was a sweet and selfless woman who had a smile and kind words for everyone. She was funny and often had a witty response even when you least expected it. She joked to the very end. She loved to travel, cook, and read, but what she loved the most was spending time with her family and friends.

Friends are invited to a memorial visitation Aug. 15 from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m., with a service at 7:00 p.m., at the W.S. Clancy Memorial Funeral Home, 244 N. Main St., Branford. Memorial donations may be made to the American Lung Association, 45 Ash St., East Hartford, CT 06108. For directions and an online memorial, visit www.wsclancy.com.
