John A. Wiesbrock, Jr. (Jack), 77, passed away on Aug. 4 after a long illness. He was a resident of Madison since the bicentennial year 1976.

Jack was born in Aurora, Illinois, Nov. 22, 1939, to John A. and Anna (Dekan) Wiesbrock. He grew up in the Wheaton-Warrenville, Illinois, area and attended its public schools. He always kept in touch with old high school friends.

Jack received a B.S. degree in chemical engineering from Purdue University in 1962, and then enlisted for a short term of duty with the U.S. Army, followed by years in the army reserves. He worked for Standard Oil of New Jersey before becoming a pilot with Trans World Airlines (T.W.A.), a job he loved. In past years he belonged to the Madison Racquet Club and the Madison Country Club. Jack was a fan of many sports, but golf was a lifelong activity for him. He made many good friends through golf, especially John Ashton of Madison.
