Ernest James Pozzi of Stony Creek died Aug. 4 at Connecticut Hospice. He was the beloved husband of Jeanette Webb Pozzi. He was born Aug. 4, 1927, in Nyack, New York, son of the late Felix and Josephine Poretti Pozzi.

He was a graduate of Franklin Technical Institute in Boston and Trine University in Angola, Indiana, with a BS degree in electrical engineering. He was retired from the Southern New England Telephone Company, where he was a member of the Telephone Pioneers of America. He was a U.S. Army veteran.

Besides his wife he is survived by his son Kevin (Naomi) Pozzi of Washington, D.C.; and daughters Felicia Hutt and Jeanette (Wayne) Erickson of Branford. He is also survived by his six grandchildren. He was predeceased by his sister and brother-in-law Angie and Ed Sobolewski. He leaves two nephews, Robert (Jeanne) Sobolewski of Sarasota, Florida, and Bill and Michelle Sobolewski of Cheshire.
