Susan Boswell Lesco, 72, of East Haven passed away July 30 at her home surrounded by her loving family.

She is survived by her loving husband of 52 years, Walter P. Lesco; a daughter, Michele Lesco Mason of New Haven; a son, Walter “Butch” Lesco, Jr., of Branford; grandchildren Kayla Gentile, and Brooke, Jordan, and Luciana Mason; and a great-grandson, Jaxon Sams. She is also survived by brothers William Boswell of Tennessee, Robert Boswell of Florida, and many nieces and nephews. She was the daughter of the late Thomas and Margaret Burke Boswell and was predeceased by a brother, Thomas Boswell.

Susan was the matriarch of her family. She adored her husband, children, grandchildren, and her great-grandson. Sue was an avid sports fan and loved the Yankees, Giants, and working in her garden. Prior to her retirement in 2010, Sue worked for the United Illuminating Company for 22 years.

Her funeral procession left the Porto Funeral Home, 234 Foxon Rd. (Rte. 80), East Haven, on Aug. 3. A Mass of Christian burial was celebrated in Our Lady of Pompeii Church. Interment followed in All Saints Cemetery.
