John Thomas, 71, of Madison passed away on July 29 at his home. He was born on Dec. 21, 1945, in Germany.

John held a bachelor’s degree in international marketing, was president of Datamark, and formerly vice president of sales with Thinklogical. John was a member of the American Radio Relay League, and held his Amateur Radio License KIVW Extra Class.

He is survived by his wife Christine Thomas, aka Christine E. Bekasi; son John Jason Thomas of Bellbrook, Ohio; and daughter Dannielle Thomas of Hilo, Hawaii.

Calling hours will be held on Aug. 4 from 5 to 7 p.m. at Swan Funeral Home, 825 Boston Post Rd., Madison. A Mass of Christian burial will be held on Aug. 5 at 10 a.m. in St. Margaret Church, Academy St., Madison. Burial will follow in West Cemetery, Madison.
